Chevrolet Teases All-Electric Equinox and Blazer

Chevrolet is increasing its electrified lineup with an all-electric Equinox and Blazer, two of the brand’s popular, well-equipped, and family-friendly SUVs.

“The Equinox has always played an important role for Chevrolet as the second-highest selling brand nameplate,” said Steve Hill, Chevrolet vice president.

The Equinox is a top-seller for Chevy and with the release of an electrified version, Chevy hopes to prove that EVs can be an affordable option for every driver who wants to go green behind the wheel. Although details about the first-ever all-electric Equinox are slim, Chevy has noted that the Equinox EV will boats a starting MSRP near $30,000 for the LT trim.[1] The Equinox RS trim should hit dealerships in spring of 2023. The release date for the LT trim hasn’t been announced.

Spring 2023 also marks the arrival of the all-electric Chevy Blazer.

An all-electric Equinox and Blazer add to the EV roster of Chevy, which already includes the Chevy Bolt and Chevy Bolt EUV as well as the recent reveal of the 2024 Silverado EV. The all-electric truck will offer a 400-mile range, GM estimates, when it’s fully charged and boast potent ratings of 664 horsepower, 780 lb-ft of torque, and a 10,000-pound maximum trailering capacity when the Silverado EV RST is properly equipped.[2]
