The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has been named the 2020 MotorTrend Car of the Year. As the first-ever production mid-engine Corvette, the car has had the global attention of amateurs and experts alike, but all were wondering — how good is it, really? As MotorTrend has concluded, it’s actually quite good.
This is just the third time in the 66-year
history of the Corvette that it has earned MotorTrend’s Car of the Year award.
The Corvette Stingray sets new standards by
providing more speed and more power than any other entry-level Corvette before
it. It boasts a next-generation 6.2-liter Small Block V8 under the hood, which
is rated at 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. With the optional Z51
Performance Package, this model goes from 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds.
Its fresh design draws inspiration from the race
track, with sweeping, aerodynamic lines and unique mid-engine design. The best
of modern technology, customization options, and a relatively low starting
price make this exceptional sports car even more appealing.
With the amount of anticipation there had been for the new Corvette Stingray, it was almost bound to fail. But Chevrolet managed something extraordinary with the first-ever mid-engine variant of its most famous car. Get behind the wheel of the 2020 MotorTrend Car of the Year at Stingray Chevrolet Bartow!
If you’re looking for extra style and off-road capability,
you can now buy one of two Chevrolet Silverado Special Edition models: the
Silverado Midnight Edition and Silverado Rally Edition.
Mark Sobczynski, the Silverado marketing manager said,
“Customer choice is a competitive advantage for Chevrolet, because no two truck
drivers are alike.” It’s no question the Midnight and Rally Editions offer a
tantalizing choice for buyers.
The Midnight Edition douses everything in black while
upgrading the suspension for rougher terrain.
The grille, bowties, badges, bumpers, off-road assist steps,
and exhaust tips get a healthy covering of bold black to create an almost
sinister look. Its 18-inch wheels also get painted black and fitted with
Goodyear® DuraTrac® off-road tires.
DuraTrac® tires are necessary because the Midnight Edition
is about more than just appearances. It includes upgrades from the Z71 Off-Road
Package like Rancho mono-tube shocks, automatic locking rear differential, skid
plates, as well as an upgraded ground clearance from the 2-inch suspension
Available on the LT, Trail Boss, and Custom Trail Boss
The street-focused Rally Edition goes for a more athletic,
sporty look. The edition provides a choice of black, white, silver, or red
exterior colors that show up through the black on the Rally Edition’s custom
grille. Race-inspired black stripes roll down the hood and tailgate while the
wheels grow to 20-inch black wheels on the Custom trim and 22-inch wheels on
the RST trim.

When the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was announced, with its jaw-dropping mid-engine redesign and seriously impressive performance specs, performance car enthusiasts everywhere were extremely excited, and for good reason. But one of the most exciting things about the all-new 2020 Corvette Stingray is the starting price of just $59,995.
The 2020 mid-engine Corvette Stingray is equipped with a
potent all-new 6.2-liter V8 engine that makes 495 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of
torque and which achieves a top track speed of 194 mph, making it the most
powerful production Stingray to ever hit the streets. With such impressive performance
numbers, many might expect the 2020 Stingray to cost and arm and a leg.
However, with a starting price of just $59,995, the 2020 Corvette Stingray
isn’t just impressive, it’s affordable, too.
This affordability is central to the entire Chevrolet ethos.
Brian Sweeney, Chevrolet U.S. Vice President, acknowledges that many expected
the transition to the new mid-engine layout to come with a big price spike, but
he stressed the importance of keeping the Corvette attainable for regular
The low price tag, coupled with ultra-high-end performance features, makes the 2020 Corvette Stingray an unrivaled value in the performance car world, and is sure to be a gateway into an exciting world for many drivers. Make sure to stay tuned to Stingray Chevrolet Bartow for all of the latest news regarding the upcoming mid-engine Corvette!
The mid-engine layout lets you peer through a glass panel to
look at the engine even while it’s running, but aside from the cool aesthetic
factor, it’s also a practical choice.
Having the engine in the middle means the weight
distribution is better, there’s more cargo space in the front and rear, and the
driver is positioned further frontward for a more racecar-like feel. The
angular design also serves a dual purpose: the stylish cutouts improve
You’ll feel like you’re flying down the track whenever you
get behind the wheel thanks to the super low-slung stance and the low
positioning of the hood and steering wheel, providing broad sightlines and a
sharp, sporty appearance on the road.
The 2020 Stingray is not only the most powerful Corvette
ever but also the most adaptable, with Front Lift, which raises the front of
the Stingray two inches off the ground when approaching a steep incline or bump
for better ground clearance.
Instead of a large grille that takes up the entire front
end, the 2020 Camaro SS will feature a split grille, with a bar the same color
as the body between the upper and lower sections of the grille. The bowtie
emblem now sits higher, in the middle of the narrow upper grille.
Other 2020 Chevrolet Camaro updates include a new 10-speed
automatic transmission available with the 3.6-liter V6 engine. While previously
a 10-speed automatic was only offered with the Camaro’s V8 engine, Chevy has
retooled it for the V6, so every Camaro driver can experience the superior
handling and shifting it provides.
Camaro buyers can also opt for the new LT1 V8 performance
model, which bring together design cues from the Camaro LT and SS trims. The
LT1 has the exterior styling of the LT with the vented hood of the SS, as well
as SS style wheels but with all-season tires instead of summer performance
You can also expect to see new exterior color options,
accent color options for interior and exterior parts like brake calipers and
seatbelts, upgrades to the cabin materials, and expanded availability of some features

Chevy is going all out in its pursuit of
making the best trucks on the market, and the latest evidence of its quest is
the all-new 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD. The new Silverado HD hits the market
later this year as the most capable of its kind ever made thanks to new
engines, new innovations, and new technologies.
“We set out to make the best HD trucks on the market, bar none,” said Jaclyn McQuaid, chief engineer, Silverado HD. “We increased towing capabilities across the line, not just for dually buyers. We added class-leading towing technologies, such as 15 available camera views, to make trailering more convenient, whether pulling a large cargo trailer or fifth-wheel camper. And we made a host of changes to make tasks easier.”
When it hits, the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD
will hold several advantages over the competition with exclusive features like
a new Allison® 10-speed transmission for the 6.6-liter Duramax® V8, which
enables a 52 percent increase in max towing to a total of 35,500 pounds. It
will also be the only truck in the segment offered with an Autotrac® automatic
two-speed transfer case, 120-volt bed-mounted power outlet, head-up display,
and Power Up/Down Tailgate.
Additional highlights include significant
improvements to box length, width, and volume, including best-in-class 83.5
cubic feet of cargo volume for the 8-foot long box. Like the 2019 Silverado
1500, the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD gets a new DuraBed with roll-formed steel
construction. In addition to bold new looks and larger dimensions, the new
Silverado HD also gets an updated 6.6-liter V8 gas engine that offers 22
percent more torque and 18 percent more max towing capabilities than the
outgoing 6.0-liter V8 gas engine.
There’s a lot to consider with the exciting, all-new 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD, so keep your eyes peeled to learn when you can expect to see it and experience it in person at Stingray Chevrolet Bartow.
