The mid-engine Chevy Corvette did not make its long-awaited world premiere at January’s North American International Auto Show, but we know that it’s coming and that it won’t be all that much longer before it breaks cover. In the meantime, we continue to slake our thirst for this exciting car with spy shots, including a recent look at the mid-engine Corvette interior.
CarScoops’ eagle-eyed photogs snuck a few shots of what he mid-engine Corvette looks like on the inside. Among the highlights: an all-digital instrument cluster that sits behind a flat-bottom two-spoke steering wheel, a massive infotainment screen, and a unique shifter for the presumed automatic transmission. The interior appears to be well-appointed and quite luxurious, which would make it every bit as exciting in the cabin as it promises to be on the road.
The new mid-engine Corvette has been confirmed by Chevrolet big wigs, but there’s little else known about it at the moment. What engine will it get? How much horsepower will it produce? What new technologies will it feature? For these answers and the answer to the ultimate question — when you can expect to see it in the showroom at Stingray Chevrolet Bartow — watch this space and stay tuned.
